Oswestry Duathlon 4th May - this has to
be one of the most gruelling courses that any of the Juniors could do
on the circuit - it was uphill, it was very,
very tough. The distance for T2 was - 1600
run, 3200 bike and the 800m run. Only 3 members made the trip,
George Goodwin - T2; Sam Hambridge - T3; Fleur O Dwyer - T3.

Junior
Section End of Season Social. On
the 15th of December the junior section of the triathlon
club had their first social event. They went down to the Big Apple at
Junction 1 retail park for two classic games of bowling and some food.
It was a popular event as forty-one people attended covering six lanes
in total. Each lane consisted of mixed abilities with triathlon
members and their families enjoying the games of bowling. Everyone had
lots of fun and they definitely want to have another outing in the near
future. At the end of the games, the results showed that the total
points scorer for the children was Josh Aldous with 227 points
and Rob Lowe, 266 points, being the top scorer for the adults. Ian
managed to take pictures of everyone in each lane and overall the
junior section of the club had a brilliant afternoon out! (Steph
Collins) |

Warwick Aquathlon results. We had a very large representation at
Warwick which was very impressive for such a young club. The MT3 (Male
Tristar 3 – age 13 to 14 years) Category was heavily dominated by Rugby
Tri Youth Group. Out of the 9 athletes in the Category the group
was represented by 5 of our members. Congratulations goes to Callum
Jordan 1st & Josh Aldous 3rd who collected a medal for
their age group category (Tristar 3 – age 13 – 14 years) and a mention
for Kate Mackenzie for being fourth in her Category (Tristar 1- age 9
to 10 years). Well done to all.
